The book is both earthy and heavenly. It is earthy as it deals with the pain, upheavals, disappointments, sickness, bereavement, challenges, and humanity that confronts a minister in his call to love and care for his congregation/community as well as his own personal challenges in carrying out the mandate of the gospel; the mandate in caring and shepherding the flock God has placed in his care, but also in fulfilling the Divine Commission to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature...."
