Typical examination and study of the Holy Scriptures most often resembles the saying that one cannot see the forest for the trees. Examining the Holy Scriptures using verse by verse and chapter by chapter methodology is exemplified by removing the bark from the trees and examining that bark to determine what the "trees" (the intent of the Author) look like. Paul told the Ephesian saints that when they read what he wrote, they would have the same understanding of the intent of God for them as he had. There should be expectation that saints now have the same capability. Chapter and verse numbers are in the left margins if reference is needed.
